This crumble is super customizable, allowing for a variety of fruit and flour options to suit your preference. Its forgiving nature makes it difficult to mess up, making it a favorite for many over the summer.
You Need

Filling
- 3 cups fruit of your choice (cut into bite-sized pieces if necessary)
- 1/2 cup white or brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp all-spice (optional)
- 1/5 tbsp cornflour or 3 tbsp flour
- splash of vanilla extract
- 1/2 lemon juiced (1-2 tbsp) along with the zest of a full lemon
Crumble Mix
- 3/4 cup flour (any type works)
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 3-4 tbsp butter cut into chunks
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
How To
- Preheat your oven to 375 F or 190 C.
- Grease a baking dish heavily using either butter or oil spray.
- Mix your fruit with the filling ingredients. Set to the side.
- Take your flour and mix in the rolled oats, salt, cinnamon, and sugar.
- Take the cubes of butter and work them into the mixture with your fingers to create lumps of the mix and butter.
- Put your filling inside the baking dish. Top with the crumble mix and some more oats and sugar for the top.
- Dot a few cubes of butter on the top.
- Bake in the oven for 35-45 minutes or until a deep golden brown and bubbly.
- Let cool for 10 minutes and serve! Best eaten warm with some ice cream.
